In what way is Google Groups a benefit? I still recall being blocked for a couple of years from posting to the only Google Group that I am intentionally a member of. Regardless of successful login, and captcha entry, I could not even post to the group since Google decided (perhaps based on Google web hits for my email address) that I am a spammer. Google offers virtually no support options. If it does not work for you, then you are totally out of luck. I see that someone managed to forge my id and add me to a Google Group (along with 15,500 others). According to Google's own policy, someone who offers a lot of support to others via Google Groups will be arbitrarily blocked from posting to the group. http://groups.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46490 I do think that a user-driven Wiki or Faq-o-Matic would be quite useful. The GraphicsMagick forums already see some traffic. SourceForge does offer some interesting features that we don't currently have enabled: Document Manager Gallery2 Laconica LimeSurvey MediaWiki phpBB Wikispaces Wordpress Some of these take considerable commitment and could take a few days or a few weeks of time to achieve success.
