What GraphicsMagick version are you using? An issue similar to this
was fixed in GraphicsMagick 1.3.37.

I have not yet looked at your sample to see if I can reproduce the
issue with current software.

1.3.36 my centos 7 is going to EOL

Package GraphicsMagick-1.3.36-1.el7.x86_64 already installed and latest version

maybe is time to upgrade to Debian ;)

  Bummer! You can always build GraphicsMagick from source code. As
  long as your OS provides the necessary development packages and
  compiler, it should be easy.

  Unless you need CentOS for binary compatibility purposes, Debian is a
  good choice since it has proven to be well maintained for a great many

found some tutorial but it hang when installing, then read about removed FTP - get some mirror and its working
