It is true that the primary DNS server was moved yesterday to a new host and using latest BIND 9.10.3-P2. I just used the tools at http://mxtoolbox.com/ and it did not report any problem with the service, although it obviously runs a large battery of tests on all name servers involved.

There has never been an IP address assigned for GraphicsMagick.org (the whole domain). There is an IP address assigned for www.GraphicsMagick.org.

What brought your attention to this issue? Did you encounter a problem using your browser to access the GraphicsMagick web site?

I'm not seeing any issues from Maryland. Maybe there was some temporary delay in propagating the new address. I can "ping" www.graphicsmagick.org" but not "graphicsmagick.org" but that's expected, I think.

I entered into the address bar host without "www.". I thought it had worked earlier.

It may be that your browser has changed its default behavior. Regardess, the report was right after the DNS server software was updated so its behavior may have changed. I will leave the bug open since I have an intention to fix it.

I have fixed things now so that there is an IP address for graphicsmagick.org (which Google's 8.8.8.8 DNS server resolves) and if a web browser connects to it, it is immediately re-directed to www.graphicsmagick.org. Please let me know if this is not working.

Testing with Firefox showed that it already automatically tested for (and used) www.graphicsmagick.org even if the user typed graphicsmagick.org. Perhaps not all browers do this. Regardless, DNS and the web server should be properly prepared if the browser is not helpful.
