It seems like graphicsmagick is using the wrong disposal type when coalescing the attached image. ImageMagick works properly.

$ gm convert ani.gif -coalesce ani1.gif

$ convert ani.gif -coalesce ani1.gif

I have now verified that I can re-produce this issue, and have also verified that it is not a regression by verifying that a very old GM produces the same output.
