On Gentoo, my emerging granule results in an error which can be seen here : http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-796126-highlight-.html
Asking on Gentoo forums, I was advised this :
"It looks like the package tried to manually run ldconfig. This is wrong. It should let the package manager handle that, since make install may not even modify the live filesystem at all, and it is only useful to run ldconfig after the live filesystem has been updated. Please file a bug with upstream advising them not to run ldconfig, and a bug with the Gentoo maintainer to ask for the ebuild to fix the upstream build system."
