Version 2.2.3 of GrandPerspective has just been released.

It includes a new localization, Portuguese, which has been kindly provided by Aristóteles Soares Benicio.
Furthermore, the Start window has been more simple, and hopefully, more intuitive.

Version 2.2.2 of GrandPerspective has just been released.

It includes fixes required to run the application on macOS Catalina.
Catalina is currently in beta and changes how the System Volume is stored.
GrandPerspective's file scanning algorithm has been adapted accordingly which should avoid the crashes reported by beta users.

Version 2.2.0 of GrandPerspective has just been released.

It includes the following minor improvements:

• Improved look of main window in Dark Mode
• Added "Tally" file size measure
• Re-enabled Services for initiating Scan and loading Scan Dumps
• Minor improvements to auto-layout

It also includes the following bug fix:

• Fixed: Crash due to assertion failure in ScanProgressTracker

Version 2.0.0 of GrandPerspective has just been released! It offers no new functionality but features big internal changes. In particular, the file scan code has been rewritten to use the latest scan APIs. This improves performance by a factor eight on macOS 10.13 [1]. Peak memory usage when reading or writing scan data has been significantly reduced as well. For big scans memory usage went down from several gigabytes to "just" one. Version 1.7.0 of GrandPerspective has just been released. It maintains a list recent scans so that you can easily repeat favourite scans. It also features a new start window which provides a friendly welcome and lets you quickly start a new scan, repeat a recent scan, or lets you jump to the help where new users may like the newly added Quick Start section. Finally, the app is now sandboxed, which is a pre-requisite for getting it distributed via the Mac App Store, as requested by several users. I will give that a try. The first version of GrandPerspective was released a little over nine years ago. That was quite an ugly version [1] but the start of a long journey. Meanwhile we are twenty-five official versions further and passed the million downloads milestone [2], something I am quite proud of. Lately there has not been much development, but then again, the app is stable and useful so there is also not a big need. Nevertheless, I did not want this milestone to pass unnoticed. After nearly two years of little development activity a new version is released! Version 1.3.4 of GrandPerspective includes various minor improvements in response to user requests: the Scan dialog is now opened automatically when the application starts, a preference setting has been added to optionally show the entire volume by default, and the keyboard short-cuts for File commands have been changed to match the standard look & feel. The main changes are: User-created filters are now stored in preferences, filters and masks can be easily selected by name, scan dumps now include information about any filters that were used, and filter tests in a filter can now be inverted individually. Version 1.1.0 of GrandPerspective has just been released. It contains many minor improvements. For example, stored scans now have their own file extension and icon. Furthermore, you can now store comments alongside the stored scan data. Additionally, you can now trigger rescans from the toolbar, and open, reveal, and delete files from a context menu. Carefully crafted over a period of three years, preceded by more than a dozen releases, GrandPerspective 1.0 is now available for download. The most striking change is the improved appearance, featuring amongst others a customizable toolbar with newly added Focus controls and a new Open with Finder action. On top of that, there have been a whole list of minor improvements and a few bug fixes.
