List of parent folders and/or tree view of files
Graphically shows disk usage for Macs

A list of the folders leading down to the selected item would help to orientate the user. For example, if I've scanned the whole filesystem and I click the file /Users/rob/Documents/Project/Report/final.txt, then I'd like to see the following list:
/
/Users/
/Users/rob/
/Users/rob/Documents/
/Users/rob/Documents/Project/
/Users/rob/Documents/Project/Report/
/Users/rob/Documents/Project/Report/final.txt
Better still, a tree view of the filesystem (with the traditional +/- buttons to open/close a folder), which opens to the selected file when clicked.
Thanks for listening!
Rob.

Thanks for the suggestion, and apologies for this very late response, but I will not add this feature.
To keep the application simple and focussed, GrandPerspective only uses treemap.visualisation but tries to excel at that. The key use case is to visualize disk usage and help you understand what is taking up space. Although it may take some getting used to, users should become comfortable navigating and understanding the treemap visualization to really make the most of the application. A traditional, hierarchical view would detract from that.
Note that GrandPerspective already lets you break out into Finder via the Reveal action, where you can see files in their normal setting.
