Other GEDCOM INDIvidual and FAMily tags whose DATE is ignored by GEDCOMP are the probate tag: PROB LDS tags: BAPL ENDL SLGC SLGS change date: CHAN - and any user defined tags. http://www.lklundin.dk/gramps/GEDCOMP-rules.txt shows the rules that GEDCOMP are currently applying to the data that genealogists submit. The 'soft' rules (phrased with 'rarely') use bounds that hold for 999 out of 1000 cases observed in GEDCOMP (currently with information on 3. mio. individuals). The 'hard' rules (phrased with cannot, must or will) hold for a larger fraction and are hardcoded using bounds from various sources. Some rules are redundant, but are thought to give more clear error/warning-messages. Anyway, feel free to use them for GRAMPS. -Lars Lundin. -- GEDCOMP: An extensive and free database for genealogists with interest in Denmark: http://www.lklundin.dk/gedcomp/ |
