John, Thanks for your report! This is now fixed in the CVS, and the fix will appear in the 2.0.9 release. The attached patch can be applied either in the top-level source dir (patch -p0) or in /usr/share/gramps (patch -p1 as a root) to fix the problem with the RC1.
