Hi Here is the complete story. I was testing the 4.0.x version and from time to times it crashes. I had some crash then i manually incorporate some patch from the bugtracker. once i havd a crash and i made an update. and i got the problems described here. http://www.gramps-project.org/bugs/view.php?id=7212 There are some invalid date format in my backup and i can't import it anymore. I did some tricks in the code like don't raise error on an invalid date format in order to be able to import my data ( as Enno said to me in an email ). I don't know it the slowness is related to that as i was really happy to be able to import my data again. But gramps has become slow. If i took the same backup and if i use the git repositery version i have no problemes concerning date and slowlyness. gramps is perfectly usuable. I m not using python3 with gramps. I have made further investigation. i have edited my backup to remove the date entry which give problems. Then right now i am able to import my backup in 4.0.2 version and in git version. when i import in 4.0.2 i got the slowlyness when i import in git version i don't have this slowlyness. 2013/12/22 Jerome <rom...@ya...> > > Hi, > > I only noted that Gramps 4.0.x is slower than Gramps 3.4.x under my > configuration.
