[Gramps-users] exporting a section of a family tree to a GEDcom file

I'm trying to get used to using gramps on Windows. I keep reading about 'filters' to select a portion of a family tree [database], but I cannot seem to figure out the proper sequence of keystrokes/mouse clicks to bring up any filter whatsoever. I want to be able to select a couple & all their descendants for export. I would be happy to be pointed to something that already exists. I've tried the gramps documentation. That hasn't worked for me. I couldn't figure out how to search the forum archive either, because I hope I'm not the first person to have this issue. Thanks!Irene
