Hello Benny >The hard coded white in relview does not look good on the dark theme I'm testing Gramps with. The old version of relview had a slightly different darkbrown for me which was annoying, but not as much as the white :-) I don't intend the hard-coded white background to be permanent. I got frustrated trying to get Gtk.StyleContext working so put in the hard coding for the time being as it was the only thing stopping the relationship view working. On my system the white background doesn't even show - which I don't understand either.... >We should query a Gtk.StyleContext of one of the elements present to obtain the correct background color. >I also did not figure out completely how the new styling works. Eg, for this theme, dark blue links in notes are not nice. I wonder if there a style that we can query for that, perhaps from the webkit part. On a different matter - we should do something to allow Gramps to run without error if GtkSpell and Webkit are not available. Right now we get error dialogs on starting Gramps. I think previously we only got warnings written to the console. Gary |
