Gramps' database backend is sensitive to low-level software versions, AND it is also setup in such a manner that prevents it from working in a multi-user way. But we are working on this problem, in various ways. See http://gramps-connect.org/ for an example of running a new version of Gramps on a server in a multi-user, client-server setup. (Use ID: admin, Password: gramps). This version uses SQL tables as a backend rather than the BSDDB version that your Gramps uses. -Doug > -- > YES, there actually *are* stupid questions. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning > Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing > also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. > http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ > _______________________________________________ > Gramps-users mailing list > Gra...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users |
