My bad, I misunderstood the problem! When you write "mixed languages", it means into the same field (seizure), right? Because Gramps also has a feature for printing reports into others languages. Here, your names are interpreted as 'Right To Left' or 'Left To Right' according to the culture/language type set into the name field during seizure. If you are mixing languages like english and arabic, then what should be the good way (RTL or LTR)? Try to import the above 'arabic.gramps'. Does it properly print reports? PS: to use 'arabic' prefix into name seems to generate a broken XML file! See the closing mark on above sample: <surname prefix="النصّ">النصّ</surname> Fortunatly, Gramps will import this file even it looks like an invalid XML file. Handling XML attribute and 'Right To Left' languages should be fixed because XML mark should not be embeded into the string value, right?
