Hi, I am not certain to understand the feature request but did you try "Extract Event description from Event Data" tool ? (Menu--> Tools-->Database Processing-->) http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Gramps_3.1_Wiki_Manual_-_Tools#Extract_Event_Descriptions_from_Event_Data If event description is missing, then this will add "{event type} of {name}" on event description field. Personally, I sometimes add place subdivision, if present, on events. If not, I let an empty "event description" and run "Extract Event description from Event Data" tool ! To me it makes no sense to see "Birth: 26 Mar 1890 in > Amsterdam Birth of Blow, Joe". > > Thanks for listening, > > Jim > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA > -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise > -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation > -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD > http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H > _______________________________________________ > Gramps-users mailing list > Gra...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users > |
