Hello. After importing some data via gedcom-import I have many places (birth, death, marriage) double and triple in my database. After sorting them by name it looks like: Beindersheim P0078 Beindersheim P0008 Beindersheim [P0074] P0074 Some questions: 1. can I merge them to one common "Beindersheim", maybe with the ID P0008 ? So all persons which have P0078 as birth-place would get the ID P0008 which means the same town, but I don't have it x-times in my database. 2. If not, I would need to check all >500 persons for the places and change them by hand?? 3. Is there a possibility to find out which Individual / Family refers a specical Place-ID? Example: Which persons lived in Beindersheim. I'm still using Gramps 2.x because 3.x is not running on my system. I hope my problem is well described. Any help welcome. Best regards, Thomas |
