I am pretty new to gramps and have been going through the Wiki Manual. The section on archiving a family tree says "open family tree, and click the Archive." My installation (3.0.3-1) does not have "archive" listed on the menu. I have installed RCS. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. Dan |

Click on Family Trees (the one with the gramps logo that says "Manage databases" when you hover over it). Click on the family tree you've just loaded and the Archive button should appear. Doug |

Will do, if someone will have a look afterward to check it Doug Benny Malengier wrote: > Can somebody of you please update the wiki so it is clear for the next > person reading it? > > Thanks, > Benny > > 2009/5/26 Dan <re...@cf... <mailto:re...@cf...>> > > That works. Do we agree that it is consistent with the Gnome HIG to have the 'Restore' button always visible but greyed out when it is not available? This has bugged me for a while, so I thought I'd check. Duncan |

Can somebody of you please update the wiki so it is clear for the next person reading it? Thanks, Benny 2009/5/26 Dan <re...@cf...> > That works. Benny, I've updated the wiki section on Archiving a Family Tree. However the following section Restoring a Family Tree Archive needs a bit of attention. I've modified it as far as I can to be consistent with the previous section since it refers to a Restore button, whereas 3.1.1 uses Extract - but Figure 3.2 shows a Restore button and is beyond me. Could someone have a look at the revisions?
