We are aware of it. Somebody in another timezone must get up and check mail before we can do something. Not sure this was mentioned on the user list already: the website is back up, but the problems might return in the future. Apparently we have too much CPU usage on our wiki site so the hosting service suspended it until somebody of us could look at it. This is being monitored now by Nick W., we might need to take wiki offline again if problems remain. Sorry for any inconvenience. Perhaps putting the manual and help on a wiki causes too much load, and users should read less manuals :-). Greetings, Benny 2011/6/25 Benny Malengier <ben...@gm...> > We are aware of it. Respectfully, has anyone considered going to something such as Sourceforge for hosting the project? |

2011/6/26 Michael C Tiernan <mic...@gm...> > Respectfully, has anyone considered going to something such as Sourceforge > for hosting the project? > We used to be on sourceforge long time ago. Gramps became too large to be comfortable there for that kind of service. Yes, that means we pay for hosting somewhere, but it also means we get a great service (if they can reach us when there are problems, which they could not in this case, a hazard always with OSS projects run by volunteers). Our administrator is professional in his day job, and doing a great job for Gramps when he's not traveling! We are always open for extra volunteers of course. Benny |
