Greetings to all the members of the list Since I was not able to generate the Family Lines report ("File not found" error), I checked and I realized that the Familylines plugin was not installed. The download link from [1] doesn't work. Does anybody know where can I get the plugin ? I'm using GRAMPS on Windows 7-64 bit Thanks in advance Fabrizio [1] http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Familylines_plugin |

Hi, I think there is some misunderstanding. The page you are referring to talks about GVFamilyLines.py, which is included in all Gramps release. You find it under Reports->Graphs->Family lines Graph. /Peter Den Saturday 29 December 2012 13.18.22 skrev Fabrizio Carrai: > Greetings to all the members of the list > Since I was not able to generate the Family Lines report ("File not found" > error), I checked and I realized that the Familylines plugin was not > installed. > > The download link from [1] doesn't work. No, now I realize that it happens only for the JPEG format ! It was the one I was interested in and the only one I tested.... Is it a bug ? Did I miss something ? No, it is. The file "familylines_graph.jpg" is not generated. Correct. There is something strange with Graphviz. See below. > Here it is: > > C:\Program Files\GrampsAIO64\bin>dot -v > dot - graphviz version 2.28.0 (20111105.1434) > libdir = "C:\Program Files\GrampsAIO64\bin" > Activated plugin library: libgvplugin_pango-6.dll > Using textlayout: textlayout:cairo > Activated plugin library: libgvplugin_dot_layout-6.dll > Using layout: dot:dot_layout > Activated plugin library: libgvplugin_core-6.dll > Using render: dot:core > Using device: dot:dot:core > The plugin configuration file: > C:\Program Files\GrampsAIO64\bin\config6 > was successfully loaded. > render : cairo dot fig map ps svg tk vml xdot > layout : circo dot fdp neato nop nop1 nop2 osage patchwork twopi > textlayout : textlayout > device : canon cmap cmapx cmapx_np dot eps fig gv imap imap_np > ismap pdf plain plain-ext png ps ps2 svg svgz tk vml vmlz xdot my "device" on Linux shows: device : bmp canon cmap cmapx cmapx_np dot eps fig gd gd2 gif gtk gv ico imap imap_np ismap jpe jpeg jpg pdf plain plain-ext png ps ps2 svg svgz tif tiff tk vml vmlz vrml wbmp x11 xdot xlib Yours does not have jpe jpeg jpg as "device"! I see that you are using AIO64. I'll check with mine on Win 7 64. It shows the same as yours! So Gramps for win 7 64 bits can't create jpeg output via Graphviz! However Gramps AIO32 can, as it is using Graphviz 2.26.3 where jpe jpeg jpg are included in allowed "device". So try with Gramps AIO32. You can install and run on a Win 7 64 bit system. /Peter > loadimage : (lib) eps gif jpe jpeg jpg png ps svg > > > Fabrizio > > > 2012/12/30 Peter Landgren <pet...@te...> > > > What version of Graphviz do you have? > > > > dot -v in a console. > > > > > > /Peter > > > > > Another indication: I requested a JPG for the "familiy lines" report > > > and > > > > I > > > > > got the following message in the console: > > > > > > Format: "jpg" not recognized.
