As far as installing and loading GRAMPS it was almost pain free!
I downloaded GRAMPS from SourceForge as an RPM file. As ROOT I double clic=
on the GRAMPS RPM package and the Fedora RPM program opened. It told me th=
two packages were necessary to fulfill dependencies,=20
gnome-python2-gconf-0:2.0.0-2.i386 and GRAMPS itself. The RPM program=20
continued with GRAMPS being installed first. When it came to gnome-python2=
Thinking that possibly everything had actually installed I loaded GRAMPS fr=
the terminal. I tried to load it but GRAMPS crashed with a message that=20
'gconf' was needed.
=46rom the previous install attempt I knew that=20
gnome-python2-gconf-0:2.0.0-2.i386 was on the 3rd CD so went straight there=
found the RPM file and installed it. No problem doing it directly.
Upon completion of the 'gconf' install I went back to the terminal and this=
time GRAMPS successfully ran.
