I have gone through the issues on the 3.0.0 roadmap.

don't need for the 3.0.0 release. If I removed any in

Here is my plan, let me know what you think:
Once all bugs on the roadmap are closed, we will
create a 3.0 branch in SVN based on trunk. At that
point, no new features can go into the 3.0 branch (new
features should always go in trunk). Then, we can
decide if we need to release an RC, or if most people
can test directly out of the 3.0 branch.
Developers are encouraged to focus on the issues on
