I have Gedcom ANSEL import and export working correctly now and should
have a cleaned up commit ready by tomorrow or so.
Compositions of the various "combining characters" including the
precomposed characters as well as the non-precomposed ones work fine in
both ansel-to-unicode and the reverse.
(Somewhat arbitrarily,) I have decided to limit compositions to not
allow multiple combining forms (which a "full level 3" implementation of
unicode would imply.
Multiple combining forms may not have even been envisioned by ANSEL, and
I suspect it's better to get some field testing with the simpler structure.
After this check-in I would like to look at the 3.0 code. I see that
there is a shift to using the codecs module (hooray). What I've learned
in recent days will perhaps allow me to (at least) help review that
code, and maybe contribute as well.
