In keeping with our schedule (http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=3.1_Roadmap#Schedule), the 3.1 maintenance branch has been created here (SVN r12001):
What this means going forward:
1) New features may only go in trunk (as always)
2) All bug fixes need to be merged between trunk and gramps31. It is the original commiter's responsibility to make sure the changes get merged.
3) Translators are free to finalize their translations because bug fixes should have minimal effect on translatable strings.
4) A new project has been created on the Mantis issue tracker for Gramps 3.1.X. We will manage all bugs and issues through there. Bugs that are blocking the release will be added to the roadmap (target version 3.1.0).
With two weeks left before the target release date, we have some great momentum. Now lets get in there and find (and fix) those last bugs.
What's the best way to test? I recommend that everyone who is able create a test copy of their favorite data and start using it for normal everyday tasks - enter data, run reports, export, etc.
The more bugs we can find and fix before the release, the better the release will be.
