Hi,

I worked on my database last night. This morning I started gramps expecting
to see 5 family trees in 'manage family trees' window, but it is completely
blank?

Where have they gone and where do I need to look?

I have a backup but I made a few changes after this so would prefer to
retrieve the most recent database if I can.

thanks

You didn't provide many hints (Gramps version, OS) but here are some things to try:

1) From the terminal, you can enter "gramps -l" (small L). That will list the names of the databases and their locations. Use capital L to see more details.

2) You can change to that directory to see the files, usually cd ~/.gramps

3) I can't think of a reason for this to happen, except if you moved .gramps directory, or changed the Database Path in Preferences. Are you logged into the right user?

Hope this helps,
