Something strange is happening.
We are no longer adding bugs to version 2.2.x, so if possible, backup your genea data (.gramps xml files), then upgrade to version 3.0.1, you find an ubuntu package on our site.

Bugs should be posted against this version.
Note that you might have some inconsistencies causing this, to remove those, do:
1/backup
2/run the rebuild sec indexes tool
3/run the rebuild reference tables tool
4/run the check and repair tool
