Melvin,

you have a recursion error in the imported database you need to resolve.
You see the error:

Database error: DINGA, Living is defined as his or her own ancestor

So you have a person 'Living, Dinga' that somehow has an ancestor that is himself. You should break this wrong relationship and only then try to save.

Note that the error is because you restrict data on living people I think, so a utility must run to see if a person is probably alive, like having a parent that is alive but no death date.  So not restricting the output will solve the error probably, but off course the data of this person will still be wrong as being your own ancestor is impossible.

As a sidenote, it is saver to import a GEDCOM into a grdb file, work on that, and export to GEDCOM when needed. Not everything you do is saved to GEDCOM as the standard is only a subset of what GRAMPS can store.

I had imported a gedcom file from Legacy V6.  After adding a couple of individuals Ihad save as undera new file name.
It appeared that the save had completed and after a little time the error was generated.
