Perhaps that is another possibility on your system ?

Note further that you mention: Gramps version: 2.3.6-1
which is impossible as that version does not exist, probably a package error, should be 2.2.6. Latest version is 2.2.8, please upgrade, perhaps the issue is solved (hard to know without more information).

Don't see a mandriva package myself. I stopped using Mandriva because I found it so hard to find packages for the software I need. I hope you have success finding a 2.2.8 package. Installation from souce is however not to complicated for gramps.

can you have a look at:
Is this the same bug?
Can it be that you opened the same database twice, changing in one and the other?
That is not allowed in GRAMPS.

In future version GRAMPS 3.0 database will be locked so you cannot open it a second time.

Should this be something else, please, provide more information on what you where doing.
