Hi,

I use the bacup function, which is a complete XML copy of your database.

Yes, Gramps 3.4.x has also backup as option for export. It equals the Gramps xml option without the questions on filtering.
Note that you must backup your media files (pictures, ...) separately then.

i wanted not lost data or information for my genealogical tree...
