How many bytes are you getting? The whole repo is 249M.
Seems strange, but I wonder if SF is having trouble with everyone hitting it at the same time.

We have to assume that is the problem. Still, we could also upload for once a zip of the repo, so people could download that to start, no? In stead of needing git clone, with danger of error which does not allow resume.
