OK, people who want to provide Gramps 4.0 for Ubuntu 13.04, for apt environment, for Debian, etc ... can try the experimental .deb and run gramps via:

$ GRAMPS_RESOURCES=/usr/share PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/ /usr/bin/gramps

but this cannot be used by end user!

Do you think that I should let the 'resource-path' file with my path into .deb and to modify the launcher via export?

Or to you think that we should have a more flexible custom 'bdist_deb.py'[2] module in relation with debian folder?

Perhaps write James Taylor directory and ask him about this?
