I hadn't realise quite how out of date some parts of the wiki User
Manual were! That's not a criticism because I realise it is
everybody's responsibility to update the wiki, and I was working on
the wiki myself - but had just thought there were some minor updates
to the manual needed. For example, the description of the note tab
says simply edit the text string (so was from some time when there was
only a single note). The source reference says there is a source
selection part where one can choose from the the drop-down menu of
source titles, or click new. This seems to date from before Gramps v2!!!

I would like to add the icons for gtk stock icons (e.g. stock-edit
etc.) How should I do that? Should I upload the icons from my copy of
gtk, or should I make a reference (in Template.Icon) to the gtk icons
on some website (I don't know if I can do that). Is the copyright on
the gtk icons correct for uploading to the wiki?

Copyright of gtk is GPL I think. Tango icons are creative commons. So we need to attribute.
If you upload to the website, in the comment/text, add the attribution and the copyright of the image. Normally you find it also in the svg in the properties of the file (in inkscape you can see it).
