We wish! Gtk+ 3.0 and later has 428 open bugs; there are plenty of others left over from Gtk2, and more where the submitter didn't specify a version.

It is the interface gi that gives problems, which will never get fixed if we don't push the boundaries. It is pygtk that is deprecated. There is no future for pygtk, see the news of april 2011: http://www.pygtk.org/
On that subject, I've noticed that the PyGobject guys aren't very solid in their understanding of C or Gtk/Gdk internals. Worse, they seem a bit prone to incorrectly closing bugs as duplicates. If anyone files a bug against PyGobject, Gtk or any of the Gtk dependencies except Cairo, which isn't part of Gnome, please either add me (the address bugzilla has is firstname.lastname@example.org
) to the CC list at the bottom of the bug report page or post the bug URI to this list so that I can take a look at it.
