A fine-grained Qt login system / News: Recent posts

Class member variables and functions were added to the login form. They allow external access to the extra user fields without rereading the user database.

The main form of the demo application reflects this change by showing a message box with the extra user data right after a succesful login.

As part of the documentation effort for this project 6 screenshots of Version 1.0 Beta 1 were added. They show the login dialog, the change password dialog and the 4 tab pages of the user administration dialog.

The latest development version of the code is committed to the trunk directory of the Subversion repository. The code is tested throughout. I believe it to be complete enough for a first Beta release which is available in the download section. Writing documentation will be the next step towards a full release.

Minutes ago I committed the third and last Alpha version of this project to the Subversion repository. Now all the pre-release versions are archived.

A few moments ago the Alpha 2 version of the code was committed to the Subversion repository for historical reasons. Sorry, it still doesn't contain usefull installation instruction apart from the file hashing.txt.

The first alpha version of the code has succesfully been imported into the Subversion repository. Please note that there are no installation instructions yet.

As of 2007-04-07 this project is approved by the staff of SourceForge.net. I am very thankfull to them for letting me use their many, fine services to manage the development and the publishing of this login system.
