Stable releases of all project's components

After more than a year after the beginning of the project finally I can present the first stable release of all its parts.

Now it consists of three packages - libgradelist, GradeListd and wxGradeList. libgradelist is a new piece of GradeList - a common Python package, required by both end-user's programs. Extracting it to a separate package allows installing wxGradeList as well as GradeListd at the same machine.

wxGradeList 0.1

Finally the first release of GradeList client became reality. It is virtually complete, however it possibly contains many bugs. Actually, some of them are known right now. Please, don't bother about them, since large reorganization in the GradeList project is to be done. Namely, the libgradelist bunch of python modules is to be separated. Both wxGradeList and GradeListd will use it, because much of their functionality is commonly used.

GradeListd 0.2 is out

Yes, it's happened. This release covers such changes as SSL-only connections and moderate protocol changes, but the main goal was to conform all the requirements of the incoming wxGradeList 0.1 client. Of course, in spite of above changes, also some minor bugs were fixed. All in all, this is actually the first release, which is complete and fully functional. GradeListd 0.1 released!

After several months of development filled with many "black holes" the core element of the GradeList project - its server - has been finally released! Ofcourse, first, unstable version, which deserves only the name of alpha, which in addition is probably full of bugs and some functionality will probably be changed in future versions, however it is a big step in the evolution of GradeList. GradeListd reached the point where instant functionality adding has stopped and instead both stability improval and functionality adjustment is made as a main goal of development.... read more
