The first stable/production release of Gracelets 2.0.0 is now available.
Now deployed in maven 2 repository format, you can download the API and Implementation via maven dependency management, soon all extensions and libraries will be available the same.
Due to the intracacies of the ICEFaces framework, some minor integration was necesary just as was for it to integrate with Facelets. This has now been accomplished and is ready for download.
Groovy + Facelets = Gracelets. This combination enables you to develop/prototype/live edit your JSF views, controllers and libraries in the groovy language.
This was released with a minor update/feature to allow the new faces portlet bridge extension.
Beta 6 is now available with new controller based navigation/page flow control. Updated documentation. Also the API has changed a little so the latest extensions have been updated and released as well. Also JQuery library now supports file upload on subviews/ajax.
This is a very stable release and is getting very close to a stable release. Also, the jboss seam extension is alot more stable and functional now.
The API and Implementation have been separated. This will allow simultaneous implementations to be developed against the same core functionality. Most projects have been moved to Maven 2 and there are now instructions available to get setup in Eclipse.
The seam extension now works with 1.2, 2.0 versions of seam and should work with the rest.
This has many fixes to basic functionality and has been tested to a degree in Jboss and in gracelets server.
This is a major overhaul providing for integration into any framework from this point forward with a few new features and bug fixes as well.
Gracelets 2.0.0 beta will be released instead of 1.3.1. Milestone versions will continue to be released for the 1.3 branch. However, 2.0.0 will take away the JBoss Seam dependency and make it an optional extension, and will open up more possibilities for integration of Gracelets with other frameworks.
A nasty small bug crashed the initial page for alpha 0.2, this is simply a quick fix so that the page does not crash anymore.
Gracelets 1.3.1 is scheduled for end-december/early january. It will include RenderKit support for Gracelet Component libraries and will abstract variable resolution/conversation management and support Seam 2.0 as an extension, not a requirement.
Milestone 1, mainly maintenance with a few new features and more stability has been released.
You can now use Gracelets under the ASL 2.0 license.
