Is there a way to configure the script (I'm using v1.15 from SVN of yahoo2maildir.pl) to pause between fetching messages, in the hopes of alleviating the triggering of the Yahoo block?

Thanks for this--It's great to find an updated script that actually works with YahooGroups again!!! :-D

The script does pause for an hour once it hits the block.

If you have a better insight as to how the yahoo quota is triggered I would be happy to hear about it.

It might help if you could at least share your observations with the current incarnation of the script ?

Loving the new script. Does more than prior versions (and other people's takes on it), and it's very well done!

If there could be a user-configurable pause between fetching items (so each message = item, each photo = item, etc..), it will slow it down, but it should help in preventing the trigger. It's the constant hammering of the archives that usually triggers it (in my experience). Prior iterations of the script (or similar scripts) would pause 600ms or so between each fetch. I found, if memory serves, that pausing 60 seconds between each item was ample time to prevent the quota from kicking in.

Again, thank you! Do you have a Paypal or something for donations?

Yes I did have that feature in the old version - I will have to figure out a graceful way to incorporate that in the current version of the script.

Give me a few days to think this through.

Thanks for the PayPal offer - currently I am doing reasonably well.

This little project is my stress relief for now and would like to keep it that way :)
