Have a look at the TODO (http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gqclient/gq/TODO?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup ) file in CVS to get some impression of what is planned for gq in the future.
