Hello, i used backup software Acronis True Image (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acronis_True_Image) This software creates and use an own partition called "Acronis Secure Zone" ( see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acronis_Secure_Zone ) for storing backup files. But when i start gdisk and print the partition table, i get lines like: Number Start (sector) End (sector) Size Code Name 7 27293696 163612671 65.0 GiB 0700 Windows 8.x 52 GB 8 174116864 176338943 1.1 GiB FFFF 9 176339787 250067786 35.2 GiB 8300 SUSE 13.1 35 GB The detailed information about partition 8 by 'i'-key are: Partition GUID code: 0311FC50-01CA-4725-AD77-9ADBB20ACE98 (Unknown) Partition unique GUID: BB93ADA1-75CD-437E-96D0-8BBA1B75653C First sector: 174116864 (at 83.0 GiB) Last sector: 176338943 (at 84.1 GiB) Partition size: 2222080 sectors (1.1 GiB) Attribute flags: 0000000000000000 Partition name: '' So it would be nice, if future versions of gdisk could recognize partitions with GUID 0311FC50-01CA-4725-AD77-9ADBB20ACE98 as "Acronis Secure Zone".
