Is it possible not to use Lyx for building the
documentation? It is not so easy to build
gpsim documentations because of Lyx. Even
under Linux, Lyx (need TEX packages) is not
so commonly installed.

Please consider using other tools. Thanks.

personally, I would find it much more important to consider providing the currently available docs in *nix manpage format, in fact related tools such as the gpasm toolsuite actually offers this already, and this adds a good amount of convenience to the overall experience.
likewise, providing syntax completion also for sub help using fuzzy logics (i.e. "processor <list>") would also be convenient

another nifty idea would be embedding the docs directly in the CLI frontend, so that more elaborate help can be requested/viewed, in fact something like this might even be implemented in a way to facilitate providing processor/core-specific documentation, so that contributors may contribute corresponding doc files that would automatically be made available in the CLI frontend
