Dang it. I just figured out the speed in vitosmt is in KNOTS (just like NMEA) so it's a 3-line patch: 0036: const double kts2mps =0.51444444444444444; /* knots to m/s */ 0148: speed =ReadDouble(infile); /* speed in knots */ 0175: wpt_tmp->speed = speed*kts2mps; /* meters per second */ And here's some nmea changes: nmea_20050630.patch (9k) Added parsing for $GPVTG - Track made good and ground speed $GPGSA - GPS DOP and active satellites to update the last seen trackpoint with data received from them and capturing fix sat course and speed from the other sentences I'm not sure if the VTG and GSA sentences appear before or after the related coordinates.
