Hi, I'm far from an expert, but will try to ease their load by answering. It sounds like you want a transform filter - https://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-development/filter_transform.html I usually just use command-line rather than the GUI, but it looks like you can get the transform in the GUI by selecting filters, then ticking and highlighting miscellaneous, then tick Transform, and select Waypoints -> Routes. When I tried, it left the waypoints in the output file as well as the route, so you may want to tick 'delete'? Hope this helps Gary On 21/08/2024 5:22 pm, Peter Schindler wrote: > Maybe GPSBabel isn't designed for my use case, so the following maybe > a really dumb question...apologies in advance! > > I've downloaded and installed GPSBabel 1.9.0 on iMac with Mac OS on > Sonoma 14.6.1 > > I have a workflow that requires the translation of GPX XML WPT files > (sample attached "Gmap Test Route 01_gv.gpx") to GPX XML RTE files. > If I had to do this only occasionally, then I could edit the file > manually, but our non-technical team needs to do this frequently. > > I've looked at all the options, but none allows me to specify whether > the output should be a GPX XML Waypoint, Route or Track file. > Screenshot 2024-08-21 at 1.18.33 PM.png > Can GPSBabel Mac App do this or not? > > If not, any app or service other than > https://www.alltrails.com/converter that can do this? > > Thank you! > Peter > > > _______________________________________________ > Gpsbabel-misc mailing listhttp://www.gpsbabel.org > Gps...@li... > To unsubscribe, change list options, or see archives, visit: > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gpsbabel-misc |
