Just as public closure on this, I found and fixed this. Clyde verified that the fix worked for the user that reported it. Now, however, I'm looking at http://www.topografix.com/gps.xml and wondering if I should beat the Garmin code with "cleaners" to restrict the namespace of characters in all the waypoint and comments to more closely comply with section 7.2 of the Garmin protocol spec. That means "upper case letters, numbers" for waypoint names and "upper case letter, numbers, space, hyphen" for comments RJL |
