I have known about this for quite a while. This type of "specialist" or "niche" applications has its quirks. I am using several of them, each with its own little oddities deviating from the Windows Standard. Subject: [Gpsbabel-misc] gpsbabelfe bug - filename does not update I found a bug in gpsbabelfe, the Linux GUI frontend part. Unfortunately I found the bug by going out with my GPS and then noticing that many of the locations I was planning to visit hadn't been added! :) The bug is this - I had four *.loc files I wanted to add. I selected the first file using the file selector, applied the transfer, and checked that the six waypoints in the file had been added. They had. So far so good. Now I changed the filename by typing in the text editing box, changing the filename from "blabla1.loc" to "blabla2.loc" (effectively), and clicked apply. The results window said it worked, so I did it a couple more times and then went out. What I didn't notice was that the results window was actually saying "gpsbabel -w -i geo -f /home/myname/blabla1.loc -o garmin -F /dev/ttyS0" every time - the number in the filename was not being updated, so I just overwrote the same waypoints four times and didn't end up adding the other files. I'm guessing the bug is that the apply button's code is taking the filename from the file selector box rather than from the text control. Later I added the things successfully by using the file selector for each file, so that works at least. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------ Monitor your physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure from a single web console.
