Hello! I can't start GPSbabel on my mac (Intel, Snowleopard with all updates, 32bit) and i think its because i have 32 bit and GPSbabel is only compiled for 64 bit! Is this right?! Is it possible that you compile it for 32bit? best regards, Tom |

Like so much other Mac software, we are 64 only now and rely on tools that aren't supported on 32 any longer. Qt, the toolkit we use, dropped 32 bit Mac support a couple of versions ago. I don't really know the state of Qt on Linux as we don't distribute Linux builds, just source. Most Linux distros provide GPSBabel. Many of them are somewhat broken, but they've presumably worked out any integration issues. You can build GPSBabel (command line or GUI) as either 32 or 64. I actually have a small pile of the old version of the CDs that I mail to Google Wallet [ nee Checkout ] contributors that has the old - and thus unsupported - version. Every time you start it, it's going to bug you for an upgrade, but it should still work on your 2006 era Mac. If you want one of those, mail me privately with your order number just after you check out and I'll be sure to drop the old one in the envelope to you. Obviously, any bugs or problems in those versions that aren't in the current versions aren't going to be fixed as I can no longer build the 32-bit Mac versions. But it's an option that's probably less terrible than double-booting. On Thu, Dec 6, 2012 at 11:40 AM, <tea...@gm...> wrote: > :( What is about the Linux version?
