When using the '-s' option, GPSBabel tries really hard to make names
that are unique, but sometimes the deck is just too stacked against it.
The names are almost always "unique enough", but there are some programs
(Mapsource) that die if a waypoint name is duplicated and many of them wi=

I've just committed a set of changes to GPSBabel that detects if a genera=
name is going to conflict, it'll stick a "dot-number" on the end of it. =
you have 12 waypoints named "Geocache" and a target file format that acce=
