I have used GPSBabel with great success to handle my little tasks and
hobbies that come up from time to time. I enjoy reading all the
questions in this forum concerning every conceivable twist to the
software, tracks, waypoints, etc.
My question to the group is: What are you doing with GPSBabel? Are you
creating maps...creating webpages...integrating into Google Maps (or
other)...logging geocaches...blogging trips...pictures...what else?
Anything public you share I would greatly appreciate, and I would like
to compile this altogether in some form of "Examples" or "Usage" page.
Depending on how many responses, sharing of info, and design, maybe
submit to Robert to include on the official site.
I personally LOVE to read about trips/adventures/etc. with GPS data
involved, (I guess it's the voyuer nature of blogging) and I am very
curious to see what you are doing. An example would be
http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/index.html that I have used before.
Another example would be to mark great fishing spots on lakes...what is
your process for doing this, what is your finished product, etc.
Thoughts? Am I re-inventing the wheel with something that already
exists? Reply to me or the list for anything you'd like to share and I
will compile the data and create some sort of pretty page to display,
and publish to the list.
Thanks for your time!

I'd gladly put up such a page of collected info - especially if I didn't
have to do the collecting and writing. :-)
