Yeah, I was just scared to do that in case I did something wrong and wasn't
able to reload the original waypoints.

You can delete all waypoints on the eMap:
[Find] | Waypoints | [Menu] | Delete All
 denotes a button here.

There is nothing in the Garmin protocol that allows the computer to delet=
waypoints; we can only add. =

* merge with whatever source set you need, =
* filter out the duplicates - perhaps using GPSBabel's duplicate filter b=
* delete what's in the unit using the front panel
* send the resulting set to the unit.
It sounds scary, but it's really not.
