Things that require little thought or research are often answered on my
fone while I'm standing in line somewhere. Items that require actual
thought, a debugger, some research, and a real screen/keyboard to think
through sometimes sit in my inbox behind several of those "you're the

I'd kind of like to button up 1.4.3 this month (perhaps during the holiday
weekend) just so we can start on some of the internal infrastructure
changes to pay down some of our technical debt. (You've now been in the
KML and GPX code, Steve, and you know how fragile they are - and those are
two of our most popular formats.) don't know how realistic that timeframe
