cool, thanks for the link! up to now I only had the documents for Venus
5 which, while quite similar, do lack some of the commands Venus 6
provides. Especially Appendix A - despite having figured it out already,
it's always good to have real specs.

You might look at the module which I posted on this list on 2009-02-10
as skytraq-090210.patch, that's the most recent version, and check
whether it works with your GPS device. I have done some minor changes to
it in the meantime, however I'd like to test them a bit more before
publishing (e.g. reading at 230kbaud :-) )...
Current TO-DOs are:
* reading problems with Venus 5(?) devices (reported by Martin Maurer)
* testcases for testo
* and last but not least, the documentation...
