The MSVC builds use
the config.h that's in msvc/
But it appears many unresolved external as _gusb_list_units or

You didn't say which msvc project you're working with. The GPSBabel.vcprojfile
fov MSVC8 is reasonably up to date - after yesterday's fix, it should be
update to date, in fact. I could certainy believe that the MSVC V7 or V6
some updating to reflect files that have been added to the source tree since
files were updated.
WIthout knowing your starting place, it's hard to advise in specifics, but
from the list
of errors, I'd assume you're missing at least fatal.c, globals.c, gbfile.c,
formspec.c, and the sources for a lot of the "new" formats. For each of
the error lines from
vecs.obj, add the corresponding C file that provides that symbol.
and so on.

To be shure I checked it after the fixes: The GPSBabel.vcproj as checked
out from CVS compiles now with no errors (using Visual Studio 2005)!
